Our above motto says it all.
The probability is extremely high that you got into the sport of fly tying and fly fishing because it was or looked like a lot of FUN! Re-read the previous sentence and notice the words 'was' and 'looked', past-tense. Chances are also fairly high that you have seen the politics (good or bad) that have taken over many fly tying/fishing organizations. If you are tired of all the B.S. and politics that have crept into these organizations, then this club is for YOU!
The Gulf Coast Fly Tyers (GCFT) is a group of fly tyers and fly fishers that are dedicated to bringing back the enjoyment of our chosen sport/hobby. Free of politics and personal aggrandizement. Get together and tie or fish. Teach some kids how to tie. Share a learned technique. But most of all, have FUN! This is what our sport/hobby is all about!
** Note: The GCFT has No Dues at This Time. Must Be a Member of the FFI. **

Mission Statement
To promote and advance the art of fly tying and, subsequently, fly fishing as a most enjoyable endeavor and to preserve the art's legacy through education for anyone from ages 6 to 106.
GCFT Bylaws
